What are Sponsorships? A sponsorship consists of a non-animated image that represents an advertiser's product or service. Unlike a banner ad, sponsorships take the simple form of an identifiable logo or message. Sponsorships have the advantage of moderate cost with high exposure rates. Like a "Pepsi" or "Goodyear" decal on the side of a hot rod or blimp, different sizes and shapes can be placed in several different places within our site.
What is the advantage of a sponsorship over a banner ad? A sponsorship costs less. Banner ads are larger, more complex, and may have animation. They may appear in a variety of different locations with variable frequency. Sponsorship images, on the other hand, can be designed to fit in just about any location, are constant, and can be altered periodically to display different messages.
What's the deal? Sponsorships do require a longer-term commitment, but once you're on board, readers will identify your company as a major supporter of their favorite news source.
