"Under the law of nature, all men are born free, every one comes into the world with a right to his own person, which includes the liberty of moving and using it at his own will. This is what is called personal liberty, and is given him by the Author of nature, because necessary for his own sustenance."

Last week another gigantic step was taken toward the Sovietization of America. The so-called "Intelligence Reform" bill was passed by the Republican-controlled Congress. I feel confident in saying that 95 percent of Congress didn't bother to read this 3,000 page tome except the portions that guarantee pork to their big donors.
Beginning in 2005, the Department of Homeland Security, overriding the sovereignty of the states, will issue all driver's licenses and birth certificates that meet some "federalized standards" including biometric "security" provisions. Contrary to existing law, newborns will be automatically issued a Social Security number, which would force them into the federal taxing scheme called Social Security. All children will be denied enrollment in the government indoctrination centers (schools) without first supplying a Homeland Security registered birth certificate. If this doesn't chill you, it should.
Since the Social Security taxing scheme came into being back in 1935, no one has ever been required to join. The government has never automatically issued numbers because it has always been voluntary. Should this toxic bill get signed into law by Bush (a given), for the first time, Americans will be forced into this program against their will.
One of the highest priorities in instilling the communist moral principles into a population is the joining of all human beings into a single collective (we) where the individual no longer thinks independently. The Soviets believe that the "new communist man" will become one with the state by persuading him or her to relinquish their individuality, their identity, their own self and merge into the collective (community).
This is a crucial factor in subduing a mass of people: condition them like cattle with the state as the prod. In a totalitarian state, the government, or in this instance, "Homeland Security" (Russia is called the Motherland, but the concept is identical) will be the new monitoring mechanism of every American's actions from birth, by numbering the cattle, until death. Individual liberty is incompatible with communitarian ideology.
As people become numbers with their every movement monitored and forced to show papers to travel, eventually they will accept a slave mentality and all will to resist will be gone. "For the good of the community" and "security," they will have finally surrendered their individual being. During this process, the "School to Work Act of 1994" will have conditioned the children and their parents that being forced into a particular career is good "for the community."
Not good for the individual, but for the "collective good" as promoted by Hillary Clinton, who said in a speech earlier this year, "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." If one takes the time to review Clinton's speeches over the years, you can easily see how she promotes the communist morality at every opportunity.
A standardized national identification card and forced Social Security numbers cannot be allowed to be implemented in these United States of America. On Dec. 7, 2004, Congressman Ron Paul, R-Texas, made a profound statement on this issue: "... Every conservative who believes in constitutional restraints on government should reject the authoritarian national ID card and the nonsensical intelligence bill itself."
Any form of national identification represents the single greatest threat to our individual liberty since this Republic was birthed. Any law that is repugnant to the U.S. Constitution is null and void. Will I accept these documents from the Department of Homeland Security or any other federal agency? I will not, nor will I surrender my California driver's license.
It is my duty, my moral responsibility to challenge any law passed by either Congress or my state legislature that I feel is unconstitutional or violates my rights. This is supposed to be a government of, by and for the people. That isn't possible if the people lay down and take whatever is dished out to them because it's the path of least resistance. Laws are challenged all the time and overturned more often than people realize.
America needs courage and leadership. Congress needs to hear from millions of Americans who tell them unequivocally that they will not accept a national identification card or driver's license. Our Founding Fathers and the thousands who fought the other King George for our freedom and independence spilled real blood by the thousands of gallons on the battlefield. I will not shame such a legacy or the memory of all who went before me just because the path ahead is a difficult one.
Too many will cower while they get fitted with their chains. I won't be one of them.
